The Joy of Craft Workshop
Crafting with your favourite people is always fun! No previous experience is needed – the goal is to enjoy a relaxed, creative moment together, with plenty of room for experimentation and discovery. In the workshop, you’ll dive into a material or technique at an easy pace. This package is perfect for friends or small work teams looking for a unique shared experience.
Your session includes a short guided tour of the museum’s permanent exhibition, followed by 1.5 hours of hands-on crafting. All materials and expert guidance are provided.
Choose one inspiring theme for your workshop:
- Mini rya weaving – create a tiny rya piece to use as jewellery, a dollhouse detail or a colourful accent for your home.
- Leather coin purse – learn to design, cut patterns, sew and add a fastening using surplus leather.
- The world of himmeli – master the central octahedron form and start exploring creative variations.
- Japanese bookbinding – discover the beauty of traditional techniques.
- Surplus leather jewellery or keyring – craft stylish accessories from reclaimed materials.
- Wire art – bend and twist wire into flat, sketch-like designs or 3D sculptures.
