Artisans' Christmas Market
An atmospheric Artisans’ Christmas Market opens the door to the festive season!
Every year on the second weekend of December, the Craft Museum of Finland hosts genuine Christmas spirit with the help of skilled craft makers. Some 20–25 professional makers and designers will be present, selling their products ready to wrap and give as gifts. At the Artisans’ Christmas Market you will find unique functional and decorative objects for your family, relatives and friends.
For the public, this Christmas Market offers quality handcrafted items, opportunities to meet makers, the aromas of hot drinks and pastries from the Christmas café, and exhibitions in a wonderful, stylishly prepared museum setting — enjoyed by more than 4,000 visitors over the weekend.
On the same trip you can stop by the neighbouring Artists' Christmas Bazaar, where you’ll meet central Finnish visual artists behind their sales tables in the premises of the Jyväskylä Art Museum (Kauppakatu 23).
Entry to the Artisans’ Christmas Market and the exhibitions is free of charge.
The Artisans’ Christmas Market is open Saturday–Sunday, 11:00 to 18:00.
Follow the Events Calendar for more detailed annual information.
