The Craftstories exhibition is not just for looking – here you can make, try and touch for yourself. The exhibition offers space to pause, experiment and remember that craft belongs to everyone – including you. Welcome to experience the power of craft and leave your own mark!
Weave on a loom
Feel the tension of the warp threads and find the rhythm – weaving on a loom is both calming and captivating. You can try this traditional technique yourself!
Try wool carding
What does wool feel like in your hands? Come and try carding and learn how soft wool is transformed into a ready craft material.
Relax with knitting
A ball of yarn, knitting needles and a moment of time – in the exhibition you can pause and knit a few stitches, even if you have never tried knitting before.
Tie your own rya knot
The communal rya rug grows one visitor at a time. Come and make your own rya knot and leave a tangible trace of yourself in the exhibition.
