On 27th of June 2025, the National Costume Center of Finland will open a new permanent exhibition, A Timeless Tradition - Finnish National Costume, at the Craft Museum of Finland. This captivating exhibition invites you to embark on a fascinating journey through the vibrant world of Finnish national costumes, showcasing their use across different eras and blending traditional craftsmanship with history and fashion.
The Finnish national costume is a stunning festive attire perfect for all celebrations, continuing the rich tradition of folk festive clothing. The costumes on display are exquisite replicas of the festive outfits worn by the peasant population in the 18th and 19th centuries, featuring intricate craftsmanship and fashion elements typical of those periods.
