The Craft Museum of Finland is offering many guided tours this autumn, including two tours in English. Explore the stories, people and ideas behind the museum’s exhibitions, from Finnish felt-making and jewellery art to national costumes.

Visitors can join two English-language guided tours this autumn. On Wednesday 4 November at 4 pm, the tour explores HUOPA – A Hundred Years of Finnish Craftmanship, an exhibition celebrating the more than century-long history of Huopaliike Lahtinen. On Friday 13 November at 4 pm, visitors can discover Layers, an exhibition showcasing four decades of jewellery artist Eero Lintusaari’s career.

The guided tours are included in the museum admission fee and focus on one exhibition at a time, offering an opportunity to explore its themes in greater depth and hear the stories behind the works and objects. No advance booking is required.

There will also be six guided tours in Finnish during the autumn, covering the museum’s temporary exhibitions as well as its permanent Craftstories – Tales of Finnish Skill exhibition.

  - There are an exceptional number of human stories woven into the exhibitions at the Craft Museum of Finland this autumn, so we want to give our visitors plenty of opportunities to hear them through guided tours, says Margarita Rosselló Ramón, curator of education at the Craft Museum of Finland.
