What is a rya rug of the 2020s like? This exhibition, curated by the Craft Museum of Finland, showcases today’s rya rugs and their creators. It includes around twenty Finnish or Finland-based makers, artists, and designers. Each participant is united by their connection to rya rugs, exploring various techniques, materials, and forms.
The exhibition invites visitors to challenge traditional definitions of rya rugs and perhaps even venture beyond those boundaries.
