Guided tours

For groups we recommend touring the exhibitions under the guidance of the guide. Pre-ordered guided tours will be organized in the time that you wish. We will be happy to tailor a tour to your group.

For guided tours, the ideal size is 25 people, for larger groups we recommend two guides. There is a lot to see in the museum, so after the guided tour you should also book some time to explore the museum.

NOTE! During the renovation of the permanent exhibitions, the museum receives groups of a maximum of 35 people. The group size restriction is valid from September 2, 2024 until the opening of the new permanent exhibitions until June 2025.

Guidance prices

Basic price for a guided tour in English:
Guided tours Tue-Fri 11-18 70,00 € (VAT 0%). 
Guided tours on weekends through Visit Jyväskylä Region. 
Duration 1 hour.

Terms and Conditions of Guided tours

Guided tours must be booked preferrably two weeks in advance.
Guided tours can be cancelled free of charge 5 days before the booked time.
The guide is available 15 minutes before the booked time and waits for the group up to 30 minutes from the start of the reserved time.
If the group wants the guide to wait longer, the waiting time for each starting hour is € 20. The guide remains only if he has no other commitments.
If a guide has not been cancelled in time (5 days prior), the full amount will be charged.
